Inspiration!!

I want to veer off path today and go into something a little personal. I know I usually blog about my businesses and what's going on with my books and the movie, but today is different.

As many of you know, my story is not a fairy tale, princess gets saved on a white horse type of story, but rather one of tremendous struggle and great pain.

In my 48 years, I've seen a LOT of hurt and endured more than my share of heartache. Some of it was self-inflicted, but some of it was dealt to me, when I didn't choose it. I haven't enjoyed the suffering life brought me, but I've withstood it and bravely faced everything that was thrown my way. To say I hated the pain would be an understatement. NO one likes to go through hardships and hurts, but we all have to. It's how you handle it and WHO you become as a person when it's all said and done. In life, I've been a pushover, a naive, gulliable believer, a soft hearted person, and someone who has maintained the ability to love despite everything that came my way. After all that's been done, now I find that I'm a strong, independent, unyeilding, believing, stand-firm, reach for the stars woman who STILL maintains the ability to love, despite everything. And that makes me proud.

In the last few months, as things have unfolded concerning my books, movie, the move to Burbank, and the starting of my company, I've had soooo many people message me or write on my Facebook wall, how much I've inspired them. THAT one thing alone is worth it all to me. To know that someone or many will look at my life and see how I've come through obstacles and hatred at the hands of others, and be inspired is a rare gem. I had someone message me and say that she has never seen someone go through so much keep "plowing on" (her words). She told me that I insprire her to keep moving forward in life. I've had others say that I'm their mentor now or their hero, to which I laugh and say "I'm not a hero". I don't want to be classified as such, but I do want to speak encouraging words to anyone out there who is struggling in life. And especially to women who are struggling. You CAN make it, no matter what. Whatever you are going through will pass, and where you are is not where you'll stay. I ususally laugh and say "keep on truckin", but it's the truth. Keep on moving and you'll get through whatever has come to try and stop you. Don't let anything stand in the way of your goals and dreams. See the life you want and go after it, live it to the fullest. You CAN make it. I'm living proof. By the grace of God and with hard work, I've come out of terrible situations and I'm moving on to bigger things.

I want you all to succeed the same way that I have. I want you all to Dream Big. I want you all to live the best life you can. Life is so short. People come and go, things are gotten and lost, but happiness and joy are yours if you will just grab them and don't let go. If nothing is happening in your life, then go and make it happen. Take what belongs to you, your dreams. I love you all and I want to see you achieve all that you can in the short time we're given.
