It Begins Within

I wanted to share a quick thought today about your dreams.

I have a friend, or several, but one in particular who has so much potential to be a writer. She has a head full of stories that are good, but she lacks motivation to put them on paper (or laptop,lol). She has what it takes to be an amazing storyteller, she just needs to believe in herself that she can do it. I have tried so hard to help her unlock the gift inside of her, but for some reason, there is a block in her mind, telling her that she can't. So she writes a little, then puts it away for a long time. If this girl had just finished what she started over two years ago, she would have a published book. I wish she could see in herself what I see in her. But for some reason, she can't.

I wasn't raised with any kind of support system whatsoever. My mom was having her own problems in life after my dad was killed. My grandparents were not encouraging people, so I grew up without any interest in college or trying to have a better life at all. I had one person, whom I met when I was 18, that suddenly started believing in me. It was years before his words finally took root in my heart. They sounded good and at times, while listening to him, I thought I could conquer the world. But then it would disappear and I would go back to life as usual. There's nothing wrong with a normal life, that's not what I'm saying. But if you have a dream, you NEED to pursue it.

It all starts with you. No matter what you do, no matter where you go in life, it all starts with YOU. Everything has a beginning. It is your idea, your thought, your dream, your goal. BUT it is yours. So it stands to reason that it begins within you. It's just like having a baby. That baby begins inside of you. It grows over time, and then you birth that dream, that love, that life that you carried for nine months. And suddenly you have the thing for which you had been waiting. I honestly believe that whatever you put your mind to, you CAN acheive it. I hope that my life is an inpiration to others to Dream Big. I was inpired and now I want to be an inpiration.

Go out and conquer that mountain you want to climb. It's not easy, but it can happen. You've got what it takes, you just have to believe in yourself. If you don't have anyone to encourage you, send me a message. I'll lift you up so much, that you will be able to do anything you set your mind to. I love you all and I want to see each one of you reach your full potential in life.

P.S. With three blogs today, can you tell that I've been home all day. LOL I haven't even changed p.j.'s yet.
