New Book!!

Okay, enough with the fun. It's time to get back to work. Although I'm in the process of moving, I still have to continue to work (to pay for moving, lol). So now that I have a screenwriter who is finishing the screenplay and script, I can devote myself to what I love, writing books.

Thank God for sending me the right people to help me out because that script was getting to me. I was slow because it't not my forte. You are supposed to cut down a script to around 120 pages, max for a two hour movie. Mine was already over 100 pages and I wasn't even one third of the way through the book. LOL. They said only put in what's important. I was like "it's all important, or it wouldn't be in the book". So that's why it's necessary to get a professional to work with me on it. He will do the heavy lifting and I will give final say-so. It's perfect for me because I have another book to get started on. This one is going to be sooooo long. It will really be two books when it's all said and done.

I'm not sure how other authors feel, I need to ask, but before I start a huge book like this one, I feel a sense of dread. Call it laziness, but based on Ultimate Betrayal and Breaking Free, which both took more than two years of my life to write, this one is going to take probably another two years, if I'm lucky. Whew!! That's a long time. LOL But after I get started the story should flow and really write itself. I know these characters really well, so I won't have to sit and try and write something, they will speak to me and it will write itself. That's the good thing about knowing your characters. You know what they will say, how they act, who they are as people and the story takes you on the journey. These characters lead me, not the other way around.

This book or series will be amazing!! For those of you who have fallen in love with my books (thank you so much for doing so) you will really enjoy this one. It begins early on in John and Mary's life before they came to "know" God. It shows who they are as a young couple, how they came to be together, when they both "prayed" and gave their lives to God. I take you through their lives in the church, and how they became who they were at the peak of his ministy, with their money loving ways and stealing from the church. I will briefly take you through his relationship with Emily and how it affected his entire life, and give you a peek at things not in the Ultimate Betrayal books regarding their love. It will wrap up with John and Mary now elderly, trying to recover what they've lost. I will take you, not only into John's mind, but Mary's as well, showing her emotions and personality and what he did to her as a person. In my mind, Mary was an innocent girl, until John used his manipulation to turn her into what she became. He molded her into the woman she was. And now, his love for a younger woman has made her into the person she has become. One that won't allow him to have his will over hers. Mary is a very strong character and I'll bring that out in these books. I'll show how she went from the nice, God fearing young lady she was, to the strong willed, hard hearted woman she became at the hands of her husband. I can promise you this will be a barn burner, as they say. So many secrets and lies that they kept will now find their way to the surface. You only thought you knew John and Mary Alexander. I'm really looking forward to getting these out there. So many of you are already asking for them, lol. But it takes a long time.

Another thing to note tonight. I was told that it's not out of the realm or possibility that Richard Gere could play John. (Swoons) Be still my heart. I would love that. As soon as the script is finished, it's going to his agent for him to read. So be in prayer about that as well. I think he's sooooo sexy and probably one of very few that I want to play my John. My character is special and I know who can and can't play him. Also, pray that Kathy Bates will accept the role of Mary. She REALLY has the acting chops to play a strong woman with a sweet side. I'll keep you all updated on those things too.

Well, I have work to do tonight. I'm going to try to get in bed early tonight because I have two meetings tomorrow. The first begins at noon at the Mexican restaurant in Matewan and the second one is in Pikeville at three. Lots of running around tomorrow.
