Sneak Peek!!

As you, my readers know, I like to give a sneak peek of the very first paragraph in my new books before they EVER get finished.

So in keeping with my tradition, here's a peek at the opening paragraphs of "The Alexanders". I hope you like it. It really sets the tone for this book I think.

Bear in mind, this is the ROUGH draft, no edits, no checks yet or anything. Just very rough. LOL

As you read, bear in mind, this too will be a movie and I would like to open with a southern woman reading this as John gets ready for another party night.

THE ALEXANDERS

PART ONE

CHAPTER ONE

1974

It was a hot evening that time in August when John Alexander came to the first of many crossroads in his life. Even though it was almost eight o'clock, the thermometer still topped out at ninety-two degrees as the sun eased down behind the mountain like an old friend slowly leaving after visiting for the day.

Dressed in his Saturday night party clothes, complete with navy, plaid suit jacket and dark slacks, he knew he would of course be the center of attention in the club that night, like so many other times before.

John had always been strikingly handsome. His sharp features made him look as though he had been chiseled from stone like the Greek gods in mythology. Even as a baby, everyone who looked at him saw something special in those blue eyes of his. And as a teenager, he turned the heads of women much older than he, which probably sparked the conception of his massive ego.

Whatever charm he possessed, whatever magnetic personality lay within him, you can be sure that he was born with it, and he would use it to his advantage every step of the way in his life for the many years that lay ahead of him.

Anyway, that's the opening. I hope you liked it, even though it's just a snippit. I love these characters. They are the funnest ones to write.
