Film Festival

I was so honored to be a part of my friend Kimberly Collins big night tonight!!

We celebrated the premiere of her movie tonight at the Knoxville Film Festival.

The movie is called "I Just Want To Be A Hero". It's about a boy who proves to be a hero to his brother with Down Syndrome. I caught myself crying, laughing and on the edge of my seat watching it. Kim is an amazing writer and I know this is only the beginning of her movie career. I'm SO very proud of her and her accomplishments.

I've spent the past two days with her and her wonderful mother and family. I joke that they took me in like a stray and kept me, but it's true. They really are fantastic people.

Also, if you haven't gotten a copy of her novel, Simple Choices, I encourage you to do so. It's a terrific book and her new one, Blood Creek, is due to be relased early next year.
