She Found Forever

She waited for the one
who could love her
like she wanted,
like she desperately needed.
She spent her whole life
searching.
In everyone she met,
In every face she saw,
She wondered if
he was the one
for whom she longed.
Is he the one
who can fill the void?
Is that one the one
who can satisfy my soul?
Is the other one
he who can make me happy
and whole?
Each time she gave in
she was sure it was true love.
Each time she gave her heart
she was sure it would
last forever.
But it didn't.
Each one left her
because they couldn't
give her what she
truly
longed for-love.
She gave up.
She resigned herself
to being alone and sad
forever.
She let go of any dreams
she had of a future.
Of a good life
with the
man who could
make her happy.
Until one day
when she least expected it.
When she was no longer
searching
He came to her.
He opened her heart
in a way
that she'd never known
it could be opened.
He brought her a love
she'd only read about.
He brought a smile
to her face
and
laughter to her life.
He, for whom
her heart had waited,
finally arrived.
And she smiled
Knowing she'd never
be alone again.
She had found
her forever,
in Jesus.
