Jesus Died For All

When I was a sinner, I sinned.

I did the things sinners do.

I cursed, I lied, I cheated, I committed acts that God hates, I thought evil against my neighbors, I gossiped. You name it, I probably did it. Except, by the grace of God, drugs. That was one thing that I never touched, thank God. But trust me, there were plenty of other sins I committed,

The definition of a sinner is one who transgresses against divine law; or sins. A sin is defined as an immoral act against divine law.

Well, guess what people?

That's what sinners do. They sin!!

I used to wonder why Christians held sinners up to some kind of standard to live by and when they didn't, they pointed their fingers and shamed them. But sinners don't live by any set of standards.

They do what sinners do!! They sin.

You can't shame a sinner for being a sinner. Don't put them down for it. First, pray for the individual. Go to God in intercessory prayer on behalf of the one who you think is living wrong. Use the name of Jesus and it's authority to bind the spirits that have taken hold of the person and then ask the Spirit of God to visit that individual and speak to them. Pray that the spirit of conviction rest upon them. It's only by the Spirit they come to God anyway. Never heap condemnation on someone.

I finally come to the revelation of something.

Those who profess to be God's servants point a finger at sinners and point out what they do wrong because it gives them some kind of "look what they do, I am so much better than that because I'm a Christian" high. They like to point at those who maybe haven't come to the full knowledge of God or His ways and downgrade them for what they are doing. They like to put down the ones who don't understand the true love of God and all He offers. Those who haven't found the heart of God and His love and still seek it out in things the world has to offer.

Newsflash!! That's NOT how God is!!

That's nothing but a Pharisee, self-righteous attitude. You are not full of the love of God. Because if you were, you'd be out picking up the sinners where they are and telling them about the love of a Savior that can lift them out of their messes and give them eternal life and a peace they've never known! You would show them God's ability to wash away even their worst transgressions and forgive them to the point that He will allow them to be with HIm for eternity.

But you're too busy pointing fingers and judging. It's a shame when a sinner feels like they can't walk into a church and sit down because of the judgment of those who are already saved. It's a shame when you make people feel less than you because of a sin or sins they've committed.

I thought of a woman who I found out, just today, goes to church. This woman hates the very ground I trod upon. She is rude to me, she gives me looks of superiority when she sees me in the store and then she turns up her nose to me. She has spoken evil of me and lied on me. Yet I heard she has gone to church for years. I had NO idea she did.

I am shocked, but not shocked, if that makes sense.

I want to say that when I was a sinner, there was NO question that I was a sinner. I was sinning and I didn't care who saw me, who heard me or who knew it. I was in love with a man, (or thought I was) whom I shouldn't have been. I was saying and writing things that are not to be named among us, but I WAS A SINNER!!! So I sinned. There was never a question in anyone's mind that's what I was doing.

But if you profess to be a child of God, shouldn't you manifest or take on the characteristics of HIM?

If you say you have the love of God in your heart, shouldn't that be evident in your everyday walk? Shouldn't you be showing His love when you go to the store or see someone who you feel has sinned?

Isn't one of our duties as a child of God to be a witness to a lost world?

Isn't one of the requirements that we show others to Jesus?

I want people to see the love of Christ when they look at me. I pray daily that God will remove me and allow Himself to be seen when people see me. I want them to know the change in me is nothing of myself, but everything of Him. I want to direct the lost and hurting to the ONE who saved me.

I'm blown away at the number of people in this area alone, who profess all of this out of their mouths but never live it except in their churches on Sundays. The ones who have so much to say for God when in the company of those they deem worthy to worship with, but look down on those they feel aren't good enough to give a second glance. Those who have the "my four and no more" spirit on them.

Let me tell you. You are stiff-necked and haughty and you bear no fruits of the Spirit of God. Not the God I've come to know. Not the God who saved my poor, miserable life and turned me around. You do NOT possess the love of Christ. You look at yourself as if you are some kind of judge or God and that is wrong!!

God is the judge and whomever HE chooses to forgive is between Him and the person. NO one is beyond His forgiveness. NO one is beyond help. How dare you try and do His job for Him.

If you profess Jesus as the Master of your life, then prove it in the way you treat others around you. Walk in the love that you claim to have. Bear the fruit that God has called you to bear. Forgive others and let go of their shortcomings because you too were a sinner at one time. Don't forget where God brought you from.

This was a hard blog for some of you to swallow, but the truth usually is.

Get over yourselves. Jesus died for all!!!

I'm not gonna hold back, I'm gonna speak the truth when the Holy Spirit puts it on my heart, no matter whose apple cart it upsets. I want to please God and not man.

My whole point is this: if you see a sinner, don't judge them. They sin because that's what sinners do. But if you are a child of God, then do what His children are supposed to do, show His love. Don't pick and choose who you want to love.

Love EVERYONE.

Until you open your heart to the love of God, you'll never open your church to sinners.

Much love,

Christy
